Educational Qualification and Age / शैक्षणिक पात्रता व वयोमर्यादा
For Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs, a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent is required by the closing date. Male candidates giving preference to Delhi Police must possess the required motorcycle and car driving licence by the prescribed physical-test stage.
SI (Fire) in CISF has a different technical qualification: a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or Matriculation with a recognized three-year diploma in specified engineering disciplines. Applicants should match their qualification exactly with paragraph 7 of the notice.

Age is calculated as on 1 August 2026. The normal age limit is 20-25 years for all posts except CISF SI (Fire), for which it is 18-30 years. SC/ST candidates receive 5 years and OBC candidates 3 years of upper-age relaxation, with other notified relaxations applying to eligible categories.
Application Fee and Selection / अर्ज शुल्क व निवड प्रक्रिया
The application fee is ₹100. Women candidates and eligible SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt. Payment is online only. The selection process includes Paper-I, PST/PET, Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination; the notified stages are mandatory, while PST/PET is qualifying in nature. SSC has also specified different negative marking for Paper-I and Paper-II, so candidates should read the current 2026 scheme instead of relying on an older exam pattern.

Open the SSC website, complete or sign in to One-Time Registration, select the CPO 2026 examination, fill personal and qualification details, choose examination centres and post preferences, upload/capture the required photograph and documents, pay the fee if applicable, and submit the form before the deadline. Save the final application and payment status for your records. The correction facility is scheduled separately from 8 to 10 October 2026.
