Applicants need an engineering degree from an Indian-law university, Parliament-established institution, or deemed university under UGC Act, 1956, Section 3. Listed equivalents are Institution of Engineers (India) Sections A/B; a recognised foreign engineering degree/diploma; Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) Graduate Membership; Aeronautical Society of India examinations; or Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London Graduate Membership held after November 1959.
A candidate must be 21–30 years old on 1 January 2027, born from 2 January 1997 to 1 January 2006. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC, as per rules.
